SOLAR for Puerto Rico

ABOUT SOLAR FOR PUERTO RICO

In September 2017, hurricanes Irma and Maria slammed Puerto Rico back to back leaving the island's 3.4 million people without electricity.

Now six months after these hurricanes, many Puerto Ricans, especially those living in the remote sections of the island, still lack basic electricity access.

We're providing small solar-and-battery kits throughout Puerto Rico in the first to support critical nighttime lighting, cell phone charging, fans, radios, and anything else that can be powered by a USB connection. Most importantly, we provide crucial education on how to access and use solar technology.

Ultimately, we're supporting the general transition of Puerto Rico to sustainable and resilient energy systems.
